The Time of My Life |
|
Never
mind the way I’m always running to stand still Never
mind the Monday morning rain Never
mind the bus queues and the phone calls that won’t wait Never
mind the long days and the nights I lie awake Never
mind my tales of woe: if the truth be told you know I’m
having the time of my life. Years
ago I came here on my way to somewhere else Never
thinking for a moment I would stay The
streets are full of strangers who will never know my name But
whatever I may say, however much I may complain Still
it feels like home to me, there’s nowhere else I’d rather be I’m
having the time of my life Glass
half empty, glass half full Full
or overflowing Or
all the best years of your life Gone
without you knowing So
never mind the way I’m always running to stand still Never
mind the starless city sky Never
mind the neverending list of things to do I
don’t mind the long days if I’m coming home to you So
never mind my tales of woe: when all is said & done you know I’m
having the time of my life |
